Non-Latin Characters
The latest version of HTML (HTML 4.0) and the most recent major Web browsers (Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer), make the display of non-Latin characters, such as Greek or Hebrew, with "dynamic fonts", that is, fonts that can be installed on the Internet server itself and so do not necessitate installation into the user's computer.
Although any fonts can be used as dynamic fonts, there is a disadvantage: once the text has been dowloaded to the hard disk, only people who have the fonts installed on their systems will be able to read or print them. To do so it is requested that contributors and readers use the fonts created by Scholars Press for use in the on-line journal TC: A Journal of Biblical Textual Criticism and kindly shared with authors and other journals. Hebrew, Greek, Syriac, Coptic are currently available for use with both Mac and PC systems.
