ings of Codex Bezae in the text of the Acts of the Apostles.
In this issue he examines the variant readings found in Acts
7,23-8,1a, the second part of Stephen’s speech.
Hch 7,23-29 [dd]
De los siete perÃodos que configuran el discurso de Esteban, el cuarto
[dd] constituye el centro de toda la diatriba. Esteban desarrolla en él la ter-
cera de las cinco sentencias que contenÃan el enunciado programático de
la Promesa y que habÃa formulado en el movimiento central [d] de los
Prolegómenos [aa]: «pero a la nación, a la cual servirán como esclavos, la
juzgaré yo, dijo Dios» (7,7a). Esteban se extiende ahora en el juicio de
Dios sobre Egipto llevado a cabo simbólicamente por Moisés, quien a su
vez será rechazado por su propio pueblo. Dicho perÃodo consta de siete
movimientos formando la figura a b g // d \\ g’ b’ a’.

1) El TOc enfatiza el inicio del segundo perÃodo de cuarenta años, a
saber, del perÃodo central de la vida de Moisés (120 años en total, según
Dt 34,7, de acuerdo con el máximo de edad fijada por Dios en Gn 6,3).
No asà el TAl, pues retiene el orden lógico (verbo - compl. indirecto); d se
ha dejado influenciar por el TAl.
