The founding of BSW in 1998 brought together a number of scholars interested in offering to the academic world a research instrument in the areas of biblical and exegetical studies.

In 2009, the BSW site was carry-up by Weboost srl (Rome, Italy) and is intended to grow with the Community of biblical Scholars.
